If you go to the movies today, you will notice a depressing fact about the current batch of movie trailers and that fact is that they reveal too much. Lately, all you need to do is see the trailer and you know everything about the movie. From the funniest bits to the last action scene, most trailers leave nothing for the moviegoer to experience fresh when they see the film, but this wasn’t always the case.Check out this link < a href=’http://www.contactmusic.com/news/too_many_spoilers_in_trailers_well_yes_but_3641282′>here.

The best movie trailers are the ones that leave the moviegoer guessing exactly what it is they are seeing. The best trailer ever to succeed at this formula has to be The Matrix. With the tagline "What is the Matrix?" to its visceral blend of guns, explosions, alien worlds and Kung Fu, the trailer for this film dared you to experience this film because nobody could tell exactly what was going on in the film. This trailer was a brilliance of viral marketing as word of mouth grew behind this teaser and fans of the film, even after seeing the movie, refused to let on to its secrets when asked exactly what is the Matrix.

Other trailers that have succeeded in being awe-inspiring are the ones that left moviegoers with a feeling of fright after seeing the trailers. Two that come immediately to mind are the original trailer for Alien and the iconic audio sensation that will always make the world think of sharks, Jaws.

For anyone that listens to music, the RIAA needs no introduction. Over the course of the last few years, the RIAA has launched an incredible campaign against the illegal sharing of musical files through various file sharing protocols. The most commonly attacked methods of file sharing are P2P programs. With sites available that host torrent files that anyone can download, music can be quickly and easily acquired without legally purchasing the files.

Recently, the RIAA and several other entities have sought to enact a sort of watchdog system. This system operates at the ISP level and monitors the traffic that is sent to and from your particular IP address. If the watchdog software sees traffic that includes any copyrighted works, you’ll be sent a warning along with information to educate you about the pitfalls of illegally sharing media files on the Internet.

Although this watchdog system has only been put into place in a few ISPs across the nation, it has already received incredible attention. While some believe it’s perfectly fine for companies like the RIAA to monitor data, others see it as a massive breach of privacy. The question stands: Will we see an overhaul of our rights as Internet users, or will we witness the defeat of this type of monitoring software?

In 1998, something called Pokemon washed up on American shores and changed the face of marketing and merchandising as we know it. Toy shelves were packed full of them, satellite tv channels offered the shows and movies – kids just couldn’t get enough.

Pokemon has become somewhat of an icon since its creation but, if for some reason you’re scratching your head, here is a brief introduction. Pokemon is short for “pocket monsters” and it originally started as a Japanese video game franchise before making the jump to television, action figures and even movies.

In the world of Pokemon, trainers leave home to prove their worth by competing in Pokemon championships. They capture Pokemon, wild animals with incredible powers, and use them to fight and defeat other trainers and their Pokemon.

It’s all pretty crazy and stupid but that didn’t stop big toymakers from latching onto that trend and milking it for all it’s worth. The question remains that, more than 12 years later, is it still relevant?

The truth is that while the initial impact of the franchise has long since softened over time, Pokemon has made the transition from being a nuance to a staple. The television series is still ongoing in both Japan and the United States with more than 750 episodes and new video games and toys are being made every day.

Pokemon is relevant, yes…and it’s not leaving anytime soon.

A new trend seems to be emerging in the music scene lately, and that is cover tunes. Popular bands from all styles of music have started releasing songs, many of which seem better than the original.

A few of the new cover tunes that have been recently released:

- Tainted Love – Marilyn Manson. This 80s pop song has been skillfully remade by this popular Goth singer. It is fantastic.
- Rocky Mountain Way – Ozzy Osbourne. Ozzy’s remake of the 80 s Joe Walsh tune brings back memories of classic Ozzy songs.
- I’m Your Boogie Man – Rob Zombie. If you enjoy Rob Zombie’s style of music, you will enjoy this K.C. and the Sunshine Band remake.
- Shout -Disturbed. This heavy metal band has given new life to Tears for Fears pop classic song.
- The Immigrant Song – Hollywood Undead. The remake of this Led Zeppelin classic is in a class all by itself.
- Word Up – Korn. One of the most played rap songs in the 80s, Korn has re-mastered this song in a heavy metal fashion that only they could perform.
- Rebel Yell – Drowning Pool. This Billy Idol classic has been re-made and it is awesome. Drowning pool has given new life to a classic.

The music industry can be very fickle. People that are on the top of the charts today can be down in the dumps tomorrow. This isn’t a figurative statement. This is actually how lots of pop icons are treated. This is why they have to work so hard during live venues. They have to know where they are trying to take the crowd.

Artists like Prince put on shows that are mind-blowing. People that have seem him perform live are amazed by all that hits that this man has. It appears to be a never ending show full of energy and excitement.

Beyonce is another one that has patterned herself after show stoppers like Tina Turner, Prince and Earth, Wind and Fire. The girl has a stage presence that cannot be denied. The all female band is cool to watch and there is never a dull moment when Beyonce is on the stage.

Adele is a newcomer, but she is already getting some wonderful reviews. She doesn’t do a lot of moving. She doesn’t really dance at all. It is her live band and her wonderful voice that set the tone. She’s excellence on stage hitting all the right notes.

Determining exactly when music videos first appeared on the scene depends on your interpretation of the term music video. The very first movies with sound were often short musical performances that could easily be considered a music video. Even before these, some musicians hired live performers to dance while a device projected their shadows onto a screen. By some definitions, this would be the first music video.
When thinking about modern music videos ,the performance clips in the 1960s of artists such as The Animals, or The Beatles was probably the beginning of today’s music video. These were simple videos of a live musical performance.
Music television ushered in a new era of storytelling music videos. By the 1970s, a British television station had a show that featured short musical video clips. These proved to be a hugely successful advertisement for record sales. The 1981 debut of MTV brought videos into the mainstream musical scene. The first music video to show on MTV was “Video Killed the Radio Star” by Jefferson Starship.
Other music groups quickly recognized the enormous potential of music videos, leading to such iconic videos as Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” and Peter Gabriel’s “Sledgehammer.”

Don’t sleep on Adele. That is information that you can use if you are evenly remotely interested in pop culture. Adele has an amazing voice and she has some wonderful band members to accompany her when she performs. It is more like an orchestra of talent playing behind her.

The British invasion is not limited to Adele, however, because newcomer Duffy is also a magic act just waiting to explore on stage. People call her music magic because it is hard to believe that such a strong voice is coming out of such a tiny person.

Another group of new artists that are breaking ground in One Direction. This is a pop sensation that is also not from the US. All of these foreigners are standing on fertile ground in the world of music. They have been selling lots of records so they really are hard to miss. Artists like Adele have taken the concept of pop and infused it with soul. This has made her very valuable during a time where this is rare to the point of almost being unheard of. Other artists that are already in the industry are dying for chance to collaborate with these artists.
